Clinical Director & Principal Physiotherapist

Matthew Khalaf

Matthew is the Clinical Director and Principal Physiotherapist at Kogarah Physiotherapy & Sports Clinic. He holds a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Physiotherapy from Western Sydney University.

Matthew has extensive experience managing musculoskeletal, sports, and post-operative conditions, with a particular interest in athletics, running performance, and sprint-related injuries. A former competitive track and field athlete, he has competed at State and National Championships in the 100 metres, bringing practical performance insight into his clinical practice.

He currently consults for a large number of track and field and beach sprint athletes across the St George and Sutherland Shire regions, supporting both injury rehabilitation and performance-based return to sport.

Matthew takes a structured, whole-body approach to assessment and rehabilitation, combining thorough clinical examination with evidence-based treatment and progressive exercise-based care. As Clinical Director, he is responsible for setting clinical standards, mentoring physiotherapists, and ensuring consistency of care across the clinic.
